The K-series Engine
The RSX has a suspension of a MacPherson for it runs in the front rear having an integrated double-wishbone suspension in the rear. This engineering disposition turned off some Honda enthusiasts who had come to appreciate the traditional Honda philosophy of using double-wishbones for both front and rear suspensions. On the long run though, the K-series engine proved to have been a good decision after all with a significant potential for tuning, a trait similar to that of the B-series engines which used to be employed in Integra and certain performance-oriented Civic models. The K-series engine features intelligent VTEC or (i-VTEC), it digitally adjusts valve lift, valve duration and valve timing, giving the 2.0 L engine a much more stable torque curve as well as smooth power transition relative compared to the previous VTEC.
