Whenever we start our cars, prior to the actual ignition proper you will see a couple of lights on your main dashboard such as the battery, brake and oil lights. They normally go off once you successfully start your car. But there may be instances you will notice that your oil light takes a long time to die down.

Now this may be a malfunction but just in case, it would be best to check your oil levels. You cannot discount that at times, your car’s oil will decrease due to wear and tear and possible leaks. Check it out and see if you are within manageable levels. Leaving it be may lead to engine overhaul which is entirely costly.
